Initial impression- Seems to be a well-built unit.
Once at temp- the door did pop open on its own. I noticed only one of the magnets on the closure was in contact with the strike plate on the glass. This was easily remedied- the tempered glass door was not completely seated in the hinge which caused it to be misaligned. The glass was gently pushed deeper into the lower hinge, which resolved the problem.
I’ve seen several reviews on the internet stating- it “ will not reach advertised temps” On the initial test run, it met/surpassed advertised temps consistently over 4 hours with a +/- 3.5 degrees measured from top to bottom rack from the set temp. The unit had no food in it at the time, but I suspect that it will perform equally well once the 40-degree food inserted on the racks comes up to temp.
So far, pleased with the purchase even with the minor door alignment, and quality control issue.
Update-
The unit has run multiple batches of sweet potatoes, banana chips, etc .... flawlessly.
The first high-temperature run was some bacon-flavored ground venison jerky. The product performed as expected, with no issues whatsoever.
The Jerky was great and safe temps were reached and maintained quickly.
Longevity will be the next test. This product will be used regularly moving forward.

I’m very satisfied with the quality of the stainless steel racks. Looks like quality construction. Have used it to dry canning jars to test the fan, heating element, and timer. The jars were thoroughly dried and the unit is very quiet. The unit was purchased through an Amazon warehouse deal as a re-boxed unit.

3 years of using this machine and then the fan motor quit. Called, and emailed trying to get an RMA since they have a 10-year warranty - TOTAL BS. No replies and no RMA. DO NOT BUY.

Much better than my old round unit. This one does a batch of jerky in just a few hours compared to the 6 + for my old one. I got two batches done in one day and did not even have to watch the machine because of the timer and great controls.

This little dehydrator works very well. It has been used every day since I've gotten it. Next season I'll have it from the beginning of the growing season so the food will get processed as it is ready. I sometimes wish I had bought the larger dehydrator because I have a very large garden but know I'll be cutting back each year and not having as many to feed. I do enjoy working with it so I might be at it longer than I'd expected.

I am concerned with dehydrators that don't reach 160 degrees for drying beef jerky. This one will reach 167 and has a nice 2 temp function. Small and compact. I can dehydrate 4 lbs at a time so it is not made for production. Quality made with a glass door. I think it is overpriced compared to what's on the market, but it's like buying a Mercedes vs a Ford. In the end, I think it'll be worth the extra $

I was worried about purchasing this machine because of the high price. But I am so happy I did. I have been using it for dehydrating all kinds of fruit, and I just did my first batch of beef jerky which came out fantastic. I highly recommend this machine. I’ve had no issues with it at all.
